Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 14, 2026
1. Overview
Zaqros (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a global VoIP communication platform. We respect your privacy and are committed to handling personal data responsibly and in accordance with applicable data-protection laws. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account data. Your name, email address, phone number, password (stored only as a one-way hash), and the billing account we create for you.
- Usage and call data records (CDRs). Metadata about calls you place or receive — source and destination numbers, start time, duration, and cost. We do not record or listen to the content of your calls as a matter of course.
- Payment data. When you top up your balance, payments are processed by third-party providers (such as PayPal). We store a transaction reference, amount, currency, and status. We do not store your full card number.
- Device and connection data. IP address, user-agent, approximate location derived from IP, and logs of your interactions with the portal and API.
- Support communications. Messages you send us through the contact form, email, or chat, and our responses.
3. How we use your information
We use personal data to:
- Provide and operate the Service, including routing and billing calls;
- Authenticate you, protect your account, and prevent fraud and abuse;
- Send you service notices — for example, about outages, security, or significant changes to Terms or this Policy;
- Comply with legal, regulatory, accounting, and audit obligations;
- Improve the Service, including by analysing anonymised or aggregated usage patterns;
- Respond to your support requests and communicate with you about the Service.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests (such as securing the Service against fraud), your consent where we ask for it, and compliance with a legal obligation.
5. Sharing of information
We share personal data only where necessary and with appropriate safeguards:
- Carriers and routing partners. To complete your calls, we share the minimum signalling information (such as the destination number and technical call metadata) with upstream carriers.
- Payment processors. Payment details are handled by the processor you choose at checkout (for example, PayPal), under their own terms and privacy policy.
- Infrastructure providers. Cloud hosting, monitoring, and logging providers that help us run the Service, under written data-processing agreements.
- Professional advisors. Lawyers, accountants, and auditors under duties of confidentiality, where necessary.
- Legal and regulatory authorities. Where we are required by law, court order, or other legitimate legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Zaqros, our users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
Because Zaqros is a global communication platform, your data may be processed in, and transferred to, countries other than the one in which you live. Where such transfers are subject to data-protection law, we put in place appropriate safeguards — for example, standard contractual clauses — to protect your information.
7. Data retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. Call data records are retained as long as needed to operate billing, audit, and regulatory functions, and then deleted or anonymised. You can request deletion of your personal data at any time (see “Your rights” below), subject to limited legal exceptions.
8. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk of processing, including encrypted transport (TLS), hashed passwords, authenticated access to the portal and API, infrastructure hardening, access controls for our staff, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, but we continuously work to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”);
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Request a portable copy of your data;
- Withdraw any consent you have given us, without affecting processing already carried out;
- Lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority in your country.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@zaqros.com or use our contact page. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website and portal use a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the Service (for example, to keep you signed in). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If we introduce optional analytics or marketing cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent first where required by law.
11. Children
Zaqros is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you in advance (for example, by email or an in-portal notice).
13. Contact us
If you have any questions or complaints about this Privacy Policy or our handling of personal data, please contact us at hello@zaqros.com or via our contact page.
